Ready to Take the Chance
(for D who is afraid to take the risk)
You are very much aware that love binds us for life and encompasses the past, the present and beyond. Before getting into something as serious as this, you have to be sure about yourself and your true feelings for someone. You have given yourself to a man you thought felt the same way for you. But you thought wrong and now you are trying to hide the mistake of the past and hope to get away with it’s consequences. But you cannot hide from the truth forever. One day, it will come knocking and you will have to face it once again. You may be able save your face and keep your secret from someone but unconsciously, your guilt will reveal itself in ways that may threaten and affect your relationship. Unless you can unload this burden of guilt you cannot be a truly free person. If you feel that you owe the person the truth, then let the truth be heard. You may lose him to eternity but it’s one chance that you have take. This revelation would be the ultimate test on how much he really loves you. Remember if a man loves a woman with all his heart then, the past wouldn’t matter. It may hurt but then again, love will overcome pain and slowly heal the wounds of our hearts. You are standing between the past and the future. It’s time to let go of everything that binds you with yesterday. Move on and take your chance with tomorrow. It could be one bright day with him or a dark and lonely one by yourself. But in the end, it wouldn’t matter for what is important is that you have freed yourself from the guilt of your mistakes and have stood firm in facing it’s consequences. Always remember that when there is honesty there is love and when there is love there is pardon. Once we all find a space in our hearts to forgive one another then there will be plenty of space for love to grow. And one day, the love that you have lost will find it’s home in someone else’s heart. Then you’ll never have to be alone again for you will find rest in the arms of a man who will see beyond your misjudgment and love you not for what you have been but for what you truly are.
